About Us

Doctors, researchers, and scientists at Northwestern University created an electronic tool to reduce barriers related to patient agency, and enhance the accessibility of up-to-date and tailored, preventative services information by underserved populations.  The online tool is called Health for All – Navigating Wellness. The Navigating Wellness tool makes prevention services information easily accessible and understandable. The tool will also help people find community resources that they might want to access for health information.

This proposal builds on the Health for All – Real Talk: Clinical Trials web-based platform, developed previously from NLM G08 project (G08LM012688) for enhancing clinical trials participation.

Health for All was developed in partnership with the following institutions and organizations:

  • Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine
  • Galter Health Sciences Library and Learning Center
  • Chicago Public Library
  • Chicago Department of Public Health
  • University of Illinois Chicago
  • University of Chicago

Goals

  1. Increase the use of evidence-based preventative services.
  2. Expand the reach of evidence-based screening and prevention recommendations.
  3. Improve health care agency among BIPOC community members and  individuals.
